Statistical variables

Say which variables are qualitative nominal, qualitative ordinal, quantitative discreet or quantitative continuous:

Height, side of a coin, color, growth of population, type of hair, time, Olympic medals, age, year of birth.

First, we must separate the variables between those that are qualitative and those who are numerical.

  • Quantitative: Height, Growth of population, Time, Age and Year of birth.

  • Qualitative: Color, Side of the coin, Type of hair and Olympic medals.

  • Quantitative discreet: Year of birth.
  • Quantitative continuous: Height, Population growth, Time and Age.
  • Qualitative nominal: Color, Side of the currency and Type of hair.
  • Qualitative ordinal: Olympic medals.
