Calculation of apothems and edges of a pyramid

How much is the side edge of a straight pyramid knowing that its height is $10$ cm and the radius of the base is $5$ cm?

From the formula introduced in the section "calculation of the edge of a pyramid", we know that $10$ cm is the height, therefore, $h = 10$ and the radius of the base is $5$ cm, consequently, $r = 5$.

Applying the given formula we have:

$$a=\sqrt{h^2+r^2}=\sqrt{10^2+5^2}=5\sqrt{5}$$

The side edge of the pyramid is $5\sqrt{5}$ cm.
