The area is the figure that is obtained after having made two flat and parallel cuts in a sphere.

The area and volume are calculated: $$ A=2 \pi \cdot R\cdot h \\ V=\dfrac{1}{6}\pi \cdot h(h^2+3R^2+3r^2)$$
